About

Hi, I’ Ian, a 26 years old guy from Europe and I’m going to teach you how to become more successful Texas Holdem player online. I started playing poker a couple of years ago. I learned everything the hard way – by myself. There was no one holding my hand and pointing out my mistakes. But here I am, playing poker for living and teaching others.

I want to point out, that I’m not here necessarily to make all of you professional poker players, because it’s not for everyone. However, there is no reason why you shouldn’t at least become skilled enough to not lose your money while playing. If you play for real money and you are able to win some, you will find, poker can be really fun. But how much fun is it to only play with playmoney or to always lose at real money tables?

For those of you who think professional poker career is a dream come true, I have a spoiler for you, very often it is not. Even if you become successful, you will find you may have neglected your family, you have become addicted to your expensive lifestyle and you may have decided to become the best poker player in the world and pour all your time into trying to make it happen.

While I may sound like a party pooper, I have gone through all this and it really didn’t feel as good as I had thought at the beginning. I have accepted, I will never become Phil Hellmuth 2 and I have stepped back in limits a bit to find out I still earn a decent income. Even though I earn a bit less money now, poker has become once again very fun and what’s more important, I have more free time to enjoy what I have achieved.

If you are still determined, you want to become a professional, then you should start taking things more seriously. Read poker books, try out different poker software, develop your own strategies and of course play a lot. Once you have reached your physical limit, you have almost ruined your family life and you think you cannot afford to scale down your lifestyle, then it is a right time to stop and think. If your new lifestyle makes you happy, continue, if not, step back and realize your dream will come true in an instant, only if you choose so.

To put it into one sentence, I’m here to share my experience on how to become a better poker player and how to make this process as enjoyable as possible.
